After three years of “slapdash football” at Juventus, Antonio Cassano blasted Max Allegri, criticised Rafael Leao, and declared Jose Mourinho “completely finished.”
Before a falling out with the former striker, the former star of Roma, Real Madrid, Inter, Milan, and Italy had established herself as a regular commentator on Christian Vieri’s podcast.
After witnessing Juventus battle to a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina, he broke his quiet on Sunday night as a guest on the RAI programme La Domenica Sportiva. He did not hold back in his comments.
“Inter is much, much stronger this season, but it’s time Allegri stepped aside because he is a coach who says his career is based on results and he hasn’t won anything in three years,” Cassano stated.
“Last season, he ought to have done it already. Juventus has 17 international players and has spent €160 million on transfers, yet its players are sloppy passers who struggle to connect passes.
